Nursing Experience

Taina has worked as a critical care nurse for the past 11 years, primarily in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Department where she thrives in fast-paced, high acuity situations. She loves education and learning and achieved dual national-level certifications in critical care: Critical Care Nursing Certification (CNCC(C)) & Emergency Nursing Certification (ENC(C)), as well as graduated with Distinction from SaskPoly Technic in 2013 with an Advanced Diploma in Adult Critical Care Nursing. In 2021 Taina transitioned into the role of Clinical Nurse Educator, where she works currently.

Aside from academics, Taina has always loved aesthetics and is artistically inclined. She likes to exercise the creative side of her brain and worked as a Freelance Make-up Artist for many years and still occasionally pulls out her makeup brushes for events. With a diverse background in nursing and a passion for aesthetics and ongoing learning- transitioning into a Cosmetic Nurse Injector role fit naturally, and she completed certifications in both Neuromodulators and Dermal Filler. Thus, she proudly launched her business Afterglow Injection Studio in 2023.

Her love of continued education and ‘Type A’ personality proves that she will go to great lengths to ensure her clients are receiving the best treatment possible and help clients reach their skin care goals.

The foundation principles of Afterglow Injection Studio is “the best injections are the ones that no one knew you had. Your face is your business card. Natural-looking beauty is always in style”.
